LGBTQ+ artists dominate the 2025 Grammy Awards: Check out the winners

The 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday proved to be MAJOR for queer artists ruling the music charts. Several LGBTQ+ dominated the ceremony, racking up awards for their groundbreaking art. 

Comedian Trevor Noah helped host the distinguished event, which also served as a fundraiser for those impacted by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires last month. A total of $7 million was collected for organizations including Direct Relief, the California Community Foundation, and the Pasadena Community Foundation.

St. Vincent, took home three awards this award season. for Best Alternative Music Album (for All Born Screaming), Best Alternative Music Performance (for “Flea”), and Best Rock Song (for “Better Man”). 

 

 

Doechii, who identifies as bisexual, became the third woman to win Best Rap Album at this year's ceremony. Her smash hit “Denial is a River” is about discovering her ex-boyfriend cheated on her with another man. 

Chappell Roan seemed destined to pick up a Grammy Award or two after skyrocketing to fame last year with hits such as “Pink Pony Club” and “Good Luck, Babe.” Ultimately, she won Best New Artist. 

 

 

Both Beyonce and Miley Cyrus won Best Country Duo/Group Performance this year. The two musical giants award for Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album track, “II Most Wanted”. 

Gaga also had a HUGE night. Not only did Mother unveil her brand new single “Abracadabra,” she also paid tribute to those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires with a moving performance of “California Dreamin'” by The Mamas & the Papas, alongside Bruno Mars.   

 

 

The duo was later honored to accept a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their major smash “Die With A Smile”. 

During their acceptance speech, Gaga spoke out against Trump’s slate of executive orders against the LGBTQ+ community, declaring that “trans people are not invisible”.
