What is Drag Society?

Drag Society is a membership for Drag Queens and fans of Drag Queens. Drag Society is much more than just a subscription box service, we’re a community. Drag Society partners with one Celebrity Drag Queen who is the face of that Season. We call her our Hero Queen for that Season.

So... what's a Hero Queen?

We call the Celebrity Drag Queen that partners with us the Hero Queen for that Season. There’s a new Hero Queen every Season. Our Seasons run as follows:

  • February – April
  • May – July
  • August – October
  • November – January

Our very first Hero Queen is Ongina from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 1, Drag U, and All Stars Season 5. Her reign ends in October and we introduce a new Hero Queen in November!

What do I get as a Member?

As a Member, you get a box curated by that Season’s Hero Queen delivered to your doorstep. The box assortment is different every renewal and curated by a different Hero Queen each Season.

Does everyone get the same box?

Yes! Our Hero Queen curates the box that everyone gets.

There might be one or two customizations you get to make (like the size or size and color of a shirt) but all boxes for that specific season are the same and there isn’t always a customized product.

After that Season is over, there’s a new Hero Queen and a new box curation!

How much is Shipping for the Membership?

Prepaid 2 Box and Prepaid 4 Box subscriptions charge shipping for all pre-paid boxes upfront.

Customers outside of the US are charged the full shipping cost for each box.

For US Customers, the type of subscription you choose will determine your shipping cost:

Pay Per Box Subscriptions charge the full shipping cost on your first box, then a discounted rate on all future boxes while that subscription stays active($4.99 for Continental US and $6.99 for Outlying US). If that subscription is cancelled and you wish to re-subscribe, you are required to pay full shipping on the first box of the new subscription. Only continuing subscriptions receive a shipping discount.

Pre Paid 2 Boxes and Pre Paid 4 Boxes Subscriptions charge a discounted rate on all boxes ($4.99 for Continental US and $6.99 for Outlying US). Shipping for all prepaid boxes is charged upfront.

One-time Box purchases are charged full shipping cost calculated at checkout. Because this type does not renew or continue, no discount is offered.

How much is Shipping for Store Orders?

Store order shipping is calculated at checkout based on the weight and size of your order.

Most US orders ship via USPS.

Customers outside of the US will ship via Passport International Shipping (duties paid) or UPS World Wide (duties unpaid). If your order ships via UPS World Wide, you will be responsible for paying duties and taxes once the order reaches your Country.

I only want one box, what do I do?

If you only want the Hero Queen's box, choose "One-time Box" when adding the membership to your cart. This will not renew and won't charge you again in the future.

All other options do lock you into an automatically renewing membership.

Alternatively, you can wait until the next Queen is announced, then any remaining inventory is added to the DS Store and all DS Store purchases are one-time purchases.

When do I get billed for my Membership?

Membership billing happens for everyone on the same days:

  • Feb 10
  • May 10
  • Aug 10
  • Nov 10

If you join in any of the following months, you’ll get that Box, then immediately be renewed again for the next box:

  • Join the end of January → Re-billed February 10
  • Join the end of April → Re-billed May 10
  • Join the end of July → Re-billed August 10
  • Join the end of October → Re-billed November 10

Because we bill and ship our customers all at the same time, your first renewal will not be exactly 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year (depending on the membership you select) from the date you subscribe. Your first renewal will likely be less, but after your first renewal, your subsequent renewals will be exactly 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year (depending on the membership you select) from the date of your first renewal.

When does my Box ship?

For new members, your box will ship within 3 business days from the date you join.

If you join in any of the following months, you’ll get that Box, then immediately be renewed again for the next box:

  • Join the end of January → Re-billed February 10
  • Join the end of April → Re-billed May 10
  • Join the end of July → Re-billed August 10
  • Join the end of October → Re-billed November 10

For renewing subscribers your box will ship about a month from our re-bill dates:

  • Mar 1-7 (Raja's curation will be closer to the end of March)
  • June 1-7
  • Sept 1-7
  • Dec 1-7

How do I track my International Shipment?

We offer two International Shipping services:

Passport International Shipping

UPS World Wide

UPS shipments can be tracked at the UPS website. Please note, UPS shipments do not ship Duties Paid, so you will be responsible for any customs and/or duties charges once your order arrives to your country.

How can I cancel my Membership?

You can cancel your Membership by visiting your My Account page and clicking on My Subscriptions. Click ‘View’ on your active subscription and here you’ll see a ‘Cancel’ button.

Please Note: Cancelling your subscription will not issue any sort of refund. All sales are final, including renewal payments. Once you’ve checked out the order is sent to our fulfillment center to begin processing and we cannot cancel the shipment and issue a refund at that point. Your cancellation will take effect for your next renewal.

Do you accept returns?

As noted in the Terms and Conditions you agree to when you check-out, all sales are final. We do not accept returns and we do not issue refunds. 

In the event you receive a damaged product, or a sized product that is different from the size you provided in your profile, we are happy to arrange for a replacement.

Can I PAUSE my Membership?

Because we buy inventory based off the existing subscribers, we don’t offer the ability to Pause subscriptions.

You would need to cancel your subscription entirely if you need a break, but remember, there’s an extra item added to boxes for continuing subscribers. We try to make this item the most valuable product in the box. 

If you cancel then resubscribe, you won’t get the bonus item until your second box after you’ve returned.
