While summer is nearing its end, these bangers are heating up the music charts! Get to know some of this year’s biggest bops straight from the top drag artists.
Aja: “Vulture Queen”
Aja is back and fans are loving it! After taking a few years off from drag, branded lip sync assassin came out with this hip-house hit. Press play on Aja’s hit that will leave you feeling like the baddest b on the block.
Bimini: “Rodeo”
While “Rodeo” isnt a sappy ballad, it does convey a story about getting back on the saddle after a separation. The track makes use fo pop, punk and club elements. In an ode to Beyonce, Bimini rides a silver mechanical bull and dons a oversized hat to throw a symbolic middle finger to her ex.
Bob the Drag Queen: “Gay Barz” [ft. Kamera Tyme, Allx Mllr, Mikey Angelo, and Ocean Kelly]
“Gay Barz” features a roster of musical names collaborating with Bob. While the battle rap type track goes hard with some spit-fire lyrics, it also features some campy, tongue-in-cheek one-liners.
Jinkx Monsoon: “The Lavender Song”
Monsoon’s vintage style and campy personality comes through on “The Lavender Song.” The is pro-LGBTQ+ cabaret anthem is a little jazzy, sultry and (not surprisingly) contains musical theater elements. The song’s message aims to fight the anti-drag bills that made headlines this summer.
Shea Couleé: “Material”
Jack of all trades, Shea Coulee is making moves in the industry too! The model recently came out with the moody, house bob that is “Material.” One listen, and you’ll surely be grooving right along Coulee’s bumping baseline and catchy hook.
Trixie Mattel: “Looking Good, Feeling Gorgeous”
