A RuPaul's Drag Race France spin-off is in the works

It's time to say bonjour to new set of queens! RuPaul’s Drag Race and World of Wonder officially announced that the franchise will be heading to France for its next spin-off after rumors of the addition swirled online.

World of Wonder, the production company behind the cult competition series, broke the news on Twitter

They wrote: "Casting has officially begun for @dragrace_fr. If you have the Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent to become France’s Next Drag Superstar, apply today! Coming soon, full availability TBA."

The show joins an ever-growing list of international spin-offs from the franchise. So far, additions includes Drag Race Thailand, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, Canada’s Drag Race, Drag Race Holland, and Drag Race España.

While details about the new series are still being kept under wraps, it is expected to follow the same format as the US original and its various spin-offs.

As we wait for the premiere, Mama Ru is giving fans some new content to hold them over.

Drag Race Italy’s first season is airing now on WOW Presents Plus. TV personality Tommaso Zorzi, actress Chiara Francini and drag queen Priscilla serve on the judges panel.

The introductory season follows Ava Hangar, Divinity, Elecktra Bionic, Enorma Jean, Farida Kant, Ivana Kamp, Le Riche, and Luquisha Lubamba on their journey to be Italy’s Next Drag Superstar.

Meanwhile, the next season of Drag Race Philippines expects to drop sometime in 2022.

This year so far, Symone, Lawrence Chaney, Kita Mean, Carmen Farala, Kylie Sonique Love, and Vanessa Van Cartier have sashayed away with the crown.

Who knows where the ‘Drag Race’ family will go next?
