All the LGBTQ+ Met Gala looks representing the community

Fashion's biggest night returned this week featuring some of the biggest celebrities coming together all in the name of fashion and charity.

The highly-anticipated fundraising event was themed "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty," a tribute to the iconic Fendi and Chanel designer who passed away in 2019.

The invitation only event serves as a fundraiser for the city’s Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

As usual, the LGBTQ+ representation who walked the carpet absolutely killed it! Check out some of the nights looks that truly turned heads below:

Ariana DeBose

Singer and actress Ariana DeBose is donning a bright yellow gown from Altuzarra and giving some color amid a sea of white, black and pink ensembles.

Ben Platt

Broadway star Ben Platt wore a sharp all white Chanel look, accessorized with a gold chain belt and Star of David pendant.

Cara Delevinge

Largely known as Lagerfield’s close friend and muse, model Delevinge walked in an ensemble designed by Karl himself, a white minidress with a plunging V-neckline and sweeping cape.

Cardi B

It’s hard to believe that the rapper rocked four different looks in one night. Cardi first wore a pink tulle column gown by Miss Sohee then changed into a black Chenpeng Studio gown for the red carpet.

Once inside, her look magically swapped for a pink tweed gown designed by Richard Quinn. Finally, she sported a newsprint dress for the after parties.

Harvey Guillén

Actor Harvey Guillen trly bloomed in a pale pink tweed blazer with a silky train. Adorned on his shoulder and wrist were giant 3D roses, which gave a look a whimsical feel.

Janelle Monae

Actress and singer Janelle Monaé arrived in a large, black-and-white tweed Thom Browne tuxedo suit. She accessorized with a white leather quilted cat bag, an homage to Lagerfeld's feline muse Choupette.

She then stripped the suit and revealed a heer black tulle pannier dress with a black sequined bikini underneath.

Jeremy Pope

Actor Jeremy Pope stunned in a giant white cape with a train featuring Lagerfield’s face, a tribute to the famed fashion icon.

Kristen Stewart

Stewart stepped out to to the cameras in a classic Chanel black-and-white suit layered with a white and nude top. She paired the ensemble with a pair of black trousers.

Lil Nas X

Quite possibly the most viral look of the night went to rapper Lil Nas X as he blinded the cameras in what appeared to be a silver metallic thong, silver body paint and thousands of Swarovski crystals furnishing his body.

Michaela Coel

Actress and this year’s Met Gala co-chair, Michael Coel glistened and glittered in a sheer maxi dress embellished with expertly placed jewels.
