Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Halftime Show breaks record as most-watched performance

It's only been a few days since Bad Bunny’s epic Super Bowl Halftime show, and we are already wishing we were reliving the absolute cultural explosion that took place on Sunday.

The set list had viewers instantly immersed with his hits like, “Tití Me Preguntó”, “Mónaco”, “Yo Perreo Sola” “NUEVAYoL” and “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.”

The 31-year-old artist made good on his promise to honor not only Latino culture in the US but also paid homage to his homeland of Puerto Rico.

The rapper then brought his infamous Casita to Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California where famous faces like Cardi B, Karol G, Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba and Young Miko helped celebrate before Bad Bunny paid a small tribute to Reggaeton icons Daddy Yankee and Tego Calderón.

A wedding set, featuring Lady Gaga singing a salsa version of “Die With a Smile,” truly surprised everyone.

Ricky Martin sang a verse from “LO QUE LE PASÓ A HAWAii,” a song that compares Hawaii and Puerto Rico’s colonization before taking the set back to the states.

The marketplace, reminiscent of New York's Spanish Harlem, turned into a dance floor for an all out party in the streets.

It was a colorful show of love, unity and unapologetic cultural pride during a turbulent time for immigrants of communities of color in the country, tainted by unending ICE raids and protests.

“God bless America,” he yelled to the crowd, closing out the show.

“Be it Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Tilla, Antilles, United States, Canada, my homeland, Puerto Rico. We are still here.”

This, of course, was bound to upset MAGA Republicans and conservatives who called for a boycott of the official performance and backed a separate show by Turning Point USA featuring Kid Rock.

Despite the controversy, the show now holds the most-watched Super Bowl Halftime performance of all time.
