Beyoncé is officially bringing her acclaimed concert tour to the big screen! The queen herself surprised fans by dropping the official trailer for the theater experience after her Kansas City, Missouri stop.
Titled Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, the debut film "accentuates the journey of Renaissance World Tour, from its inception, to the opening in Stockholm, Sweden, to the finale in Kansas City, Missouri," according to an official synopsis.
"It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft," the synopsis continues. "Received with extraordinary acclaim, Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour created a sanctuary for freedom, and shared joy, for more than 2.7 million fans.”
Beyoncé has has previously released similar concert experiences including 2013's "Life Is but a Dream" and 2016's "Lemonade," released by HBO, as well as the 2019 Netflix documentary "Homecoming," which chronicled her headlining show at Coachella the previous year.
"When I am performing, I am nothing but free," Beyoncé's voiceover says in the trailer. "My goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free, and no one is judged."
"I feel liberated. I have transitioned into a new animal," Beyoncé concludes the two-minute-long video.
The Renassiance set-list ranges from new hits like “Cuff It” and “Pure Honey” to old faves like “Crazy In Love” and “Love on Top.”
According to the trailer, fans will undoubtedly be flocking to theaters upon its release on Dec. 1. In anticipation for the film, tickets are already on sale with tickets already on sale at AMC, Fandango, Regal Cinemas and Cinemark.
