Bob the Drag Queen sounds off at a Museum exhibiting one of her iconic outfits after seeing it displayed on a male mannequin. Bob and guest Sydnee Washington discuss the situation on the latest episode of the Sibling Rivalry Podcast.
"So Violet Chachki, the dress that she won RuPaul's Drag Race in on TV, it was put in the Max Factor Museum right here in Hollywood, California," Bob began in a viral TikTok video.
"And then I won the next season of RuPaul's Drag Race and then my dress was put next to hers. Her dress was on a woman mannequin. My dress was on a motherf---ing man."
"I want to know who we sue," Bob continued. "They put my dress on a man."
Bob then shared what it was like when she first saw Violet's mannequin and turned to the corner to view her dress. She was surprised, to say the least.
"I cut the corner, I see mine and the guy was like, 'Alright, here it is!' And I was like, 'Oh!'" Violet's mannequin, Bob says, "had this cunt fierce mannequin, mine was like they grabbed it from Ross. The headless, white plastic mannequin."
Bob was crowned the winner of the eighth season of Drag Race by RuPaul back in 2016. During her crowing, Bob donned a luxurious gown, fit for royalty.
Another of Bob’s ensemble displayed at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum: the lion-fish-inspired dress she wore while filming in Kona, Hawaii, for HBO’s We’re Here series.
“I am very grateful that they have my dress on a visage,” said Bob, thanking the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum for appropriately presenting the elaborate gown.
