Darlene Mitchell marries longtime partner in campy wedding ceremony

Darlene Mitchell is married! The season 18 queen is celebrating tying the knot to her longtime partner Branden Marcus over the weekend. 

Their wedding comes more than a year after announcing their engagement in 2024. Social posts shared to the public show Marcus down on one knee, asking Mitchell to marry him.

Mitchell announced the news via social media after the season’s 13th episode, ““Karen's Gone Wild” aired, writing: “Anyways… it’s WEDDING DAY!! TOP 4 AS A WEDDING GIFT WELL YES OF COURSE I DO THINK!”

 

 

Her fellow season 18 stars Nini Coco, Juicy Love Dion, Jane Don’t, Mia Starr, Vita VonTesse Starr, and Briar Blush all attended the nuptials, sharing posts of the special event on social media.

One darling video clip shows the two dancing to Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” as an image of Muppets Miss Piggy and Kermit, in their own wedding day finery, projected behind them. So camp!

 

 

Darlene Mitchell was cast on the current 18th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. So far, she’s made the top 4 of her season alongside Juicy Love Dion, Myki Meeks, and Nini Coco. 

Several Drag Race alum shared messages of love and congratulations like Gigi Goode, DD Fuego, Ciara Myst and Salina EsTitties.
