Drag character Lady MAGA withdraws support for Trump

Lady MAGA, a drag-styled character based in Salt Lake City, is known for his public appearances at MAGA rallies, his proud conservative beliefs, and public support for President Donald Trump—until now.
In a video posted to his YouTube channel on April 23 titled “I’m done with Trump”, Ryan Woods expressed his disappointment in the President’s broken promises made throughout his campaign, from his response to the Epstein files to his actions in the Iran war.
“I’ve always been a critical thinker,” Woods claimed. “I believed that Donald Trump was going to uphold his promises.”
“I am America First, and at this point I’m America only,” he added, noting that foreign wars are not about “taking care of Americans, putting that money back in our pockets, empowering us to live the American dream.”
“Where are the mass deportations?” he continued. “Where are they? When are they going to happen? Demographics are the only thing that matters in this country in the end, and the mass deportations haven’t even been mentioned. That’s only one example of where I’m holding Donald Trump accountable to his promises.”
In the video, Woods explains he is “not embarrassed or ashamed to have awakened” to the administration's agenda. Still, he recognizes that he is doing what many won't do out of fear of going against the grain.
Despite not being an avid supporter of Trump anymore, Woods promises he is “still fighting for white people of European descent, our existence, our culture, our norms, and the nation of America,” and will still be appearing as Lady MAGA.
Woods previously announced that he was no longer performing as a drag queen but instead identifies as a “costume artist.”
Woods promises to return to his followers with a “clear, concise video” detailing why he is withdrawing his support for the administration.
