The latest installment of a “Drag Race” series spinoff, Drag Race Belgium, announced the new host for its very first season— and she might look familiar.
According to posts from the show’s official account, Rita Baga will front the show and present the new queens to viewers.
The French-Canadian queen was first introduced to Drag Race viewers in the first season of Canada’s Drag Race where she placed runner-up.
She joins the ever-growing group of fellow Drag Race alums like Brooke Lynn Hytes, Jiggly Caliente, and Nicky Doll as competing queens turned hosts of international spin-offs of the show.
To celebrate the news, Baga took to social media, offering fans a statement on her new hosting gig.
"My biggest dream comes true as I'm thrilled to announce that I've been chosen to host a Drag Race franchise," Rita wrote.
"Can't wait to show you the talented queens that are reigning in the beautiful Belgium, this country that has been my home few years ago when I was completing my university degree. The drag scene in Belgium is vibrant, dynamic, and unique!"
Meanwhile, World of Wonder heads, Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato spoke out about the announcement, excited for what Drag Race Belgium will bring to fans.
"Drag is a universal language, and Drag Race continues to attract global viewers, so we are thrilled to introduce a fierce new group of queens with Drag Race Belgique," the co-founders previously said in a statement.
"As our drag family continues to grow, we look forward to watching these Belgium queens sashay onto our screens."
News that the show was coming to screens across the world was originally announced back in April.
While the news of an official host is exciting, fans are still left waiting for more details surrounding the new series like casting choices and the judging panelists.
Until then, fans can tune into upcoming episodes of All Stars 7 to get their Drag Race fix.
