"Canada vs The World' spin off has been officially announced

World of Wonder officially announced another international spin-off of its popular series—Canada’s Drag Race: Canada Versus the World. That’s right, after seeing the success of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs. the World, producers are eager to draw in viewers to a similar series.

However this time around, RuPaul will not serve as host. Instead, Brooke Lynn Hytes will host the brand new series alongside Canada’s Drag Race season two judges Brad Goreski and Traci Melchor.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the season will consist of a six-episode season that will challenge queens as they compete against each other for the title of "Queen of the Mother-Pucking World.”

Much of the details surrounding the season are still being kept under wraps. Specifics like the casting and a premiere date have yet to be announced.

The first series to do this, RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs. the World, pitted nine previously competing queens from RuPaul's Drag Race, Drag Race Holland, Drag Race Thailand, and Canada's Drag Race against popular British queens.

In an all out battle, each strutted the runway and lip-synced for their life and for the franchise's first international crown. Ultimately that crown and title was won by Drag Race UK season 1 star Blu Hydrangea.
