While the Drag Race franchise is gearing up for season 18 of the US version of the show coming in January, we are also getting new details about the upcoming Drag Race México: Latina Royale.
In October, World of Wonder announced the new spin-off Drag Race México: Latina Royale. The special comes on the heels of the wildly successful Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale.
It has now been confirmed that Taiga Brava, winner of the second season of Queen of the Universe and host of season two of Drag Race México will co-host the competition alongside Lolita Banana, from Drag Race France.
In the announcement post on Instagram, previous Drag Race México host Valentina showed public support for the two queens, commenting with a Mexican flag and hearts emojis.
Latina Royale will see fan favorites from the first two seasons of Drag Race México compete with other Latina queens from different franchises around the globe.
“World of Wonder is proud to continue spotlighting the many cultures which shape global drag, and celebrate Latin artistry with Drag Race México: Latina Royale,” Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, the co-founders of WOW, shared in a statement upon announcing the show.
Details surrounding casting and judges for the season are still being kept under wraps.
Drag Race México: Latina Royale is slated to come out in 2026.
