Drag Race movie 'Stop! That! Train!' adds new celebrities to cast

Fans are getting even more details about the upcoming RuPaul’s Drag Race movie, Stop! That! Train!. In a news update, several big names were announced to make appearances on the film, including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicole Richie and Raven Symone. 

The three stars have all served as guest judges on the iconic drag race competition series.

Also tied to the movie is beloved Drag Race judge Michelle Visage, Chris Parnell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Charo, Brian Jordan Alvarez, Natasha Leggero, Drew Droege and Joel McHale. 

The upcoming film was originally set to premiere on May 29, but has been pushed back for release on June 12.

RuPaul will star alongside her girls Ginger Minj, Jujubee, Monet X Change, Latrice Royale, Marcia Marcia Marcia, Brooke Lynn Hytes, and Symone.

 

 

 

Upon discussing his character President Gagwell, RuPaul calls it, "the part I was born to play," 

"Finally, a role I can sink my dentures into,” he joked. The theatrical flick promises all things fun and camp!

Directed by Adam Shankman, Stop! That! Train! follows friends and co-workers Tess (Ginger Minj) and DeeDee (Jujubee), who trade their shifts as train stewardesses on the Stank Rail for the Glamazonian Express. 

However, a catastrophic “Stormaganza” threatens to derail the high-speed train. To prevent a disaster in Los Angeles and save the day, the duo in coach must join forces with the President and  snobby attendants in first class. 

Shankman is best known for directing musicals like Hairspray (2007) and Rock of Ages (2012) and blockbusters like A Walk to Remember (2002), The Pacifier (2005), and Disney’s Disenchanted (2022). 

The title is the first official movie in the RuPaul's Drag Race cinematic universe.
