Drag Race officially renewed for season 18 and All Stars 11

MTV has officially renewed RuPaul’s Drag Race for Season 18, and Paramount+ has renewed RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars for Season 11.

A message from Mama Ru was shared on Instagram for fans of the iconic drag competition series.  “It’s official. RuPaul’s Drag Race has been renewed for a gagworthy eighteenth season on MTV – plus, a brand new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Untucked.”

RuPaul continued: “But wait, there’s more. The eleventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars is returning to Paramount+, alongside a new season of All Stars Untucked.”

Ru concluded: “We are so grateful to all our fans for all the love and support you’ve shown to our show, and to our beautiful and talented queens. Thank you.”

The news comes on the heels of Drag Race’s 10 nominations, making it the most-nominated reality or reality competition program this year, including Outstanding Reality Competition Program.

Season 17 had the show's highest-rated premiere in seven years and concluded with Onya Nurve being named America's Next Drag Superstar. Season 10 of All Stars saw Ginger Minj take home the crown.

Drag Race served a twist in the latest season of All Stars. The queens were divided into three groups, each with six queens, where they went head-to-head with the top queens from the other groups.

Whether or not the next season will follow the same format has yet to be decided. The same can be said for the cast and special judges, who have been heavily speculated as of late.
