Season one RuPaul's Drag Race queen PorkChop hospitalized after eating a hamburger

OG drag queen Victoria “PorkChop” Parker has recently been hospitalized after eating a hamburger.

PorkChop is best known for her run on season one of RuPaul’s Drag Race, making her the first queen to be eliminated on the franchise.

The production company behind the hit competition show, World of Wonder, shared the news via a handwritten note on Instagram from PorkChop’s team.

The note details that the queen “experienced a serious health setback and was hospitalized after eating a hamburger from a major grocery chain.”

After consuming the burger, PorkChop experienced “vomiting, had diarrhea, and was severely dehydrated” before 911 was called and an ambulance rushed her to the hospital.

According to the note, she was ultimately diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation), acute kidney injury, hyponatremia from an intestinal infection, and hypertension, though is expected to make a full recovery.

The Drag Race production company also provided a link to a GoFundMe page to help the queen out with medical expenses and getting back on her feet.

As of Wednesday, the page has received over $6000 in donations toward Porkchop’s recovery, which include a medical mobility scooter, “a visiting nurse, physical therapy, in-home support care, and many prescriptions.”

Fellow queens like Bianca del Rio and DD Fuego have already donated in an effort to support a legendary queen vital to the Drag Race community.

World of Wonder is listed as donating $1500 and many fans are calling the production company out for it.

One user questioned, “why doesnt rupaul/WOW help her?? she is referenced in the show ALL the time and they can’t even respect her enough to help her out?

“Baby couldn’t yall just buy her a scooter 🤔 she practically helped launch this franchise” wrote another commenter.

“World of Wonder loves to make rip posts but when they are actually here you don’t seem to do a whole lot to support them and love them outside of using them to make your own shows money.” said another comment.
