RuPaul's Drag Race season 16 is coming to a close and the competition is winding down to the top four queens. However, fans will be getting a chance to see their eliminated favorites return to the main stage in an epic lip sync battle!
“All of the eliminated queens return to battle it out in a LipSync Lalaparuza Smackdown, with nine lip syncs, and a cash prize of $50,000 on the line,” reads the official episode synopsis.
Hershii Liq-our Jete, Mirage, Amanda Tori Meating, Geneva Karr, Megami, Xunami Muse, Plasma, Mhi’ya Iman Le’Paige, Dawn, Morphine Love Dion, and Q will all take the stage in the epic battle of eliminated queens.
Fans of the drag competition series will remember a similar episode in “Drag Race All Stars” when all the winners of the seventh season had their own lip sync smackdown.
Producer Tom Campbell explained the shakeup to the normal reunion format to The Wrap, saying:
“The idea of doing a traditional reunion where people sit and go over the different things that happen during the season, in today’s world, that happens in real-time online,” Campbell said. “So instead of just rehashing what’s already been put out there, we wanted to create a new opportunity for the queens to have a second chance.”

The winner of the lip sync battle will be crowned the Queen of She Done Already Done Had Herses in addition to the $50,000 cash prize.
The remaining four queens in the main competition will be continuing to the finale.
The highly anticipated Season 16 reunion episode officially airs on Friday, April 12 on MTV.
