Drag Race season 13 winner Symone is breaking out on television. The former Drag Race star is slated to appear in an episode of the final season of Station 19. The show follows A group of heroic Seattle firefighters who risk their lives and hearts both in the line of duty and off the clock.
Symone’s episode is titled “True Colors,” and chases the Station 19 crew as they attend the winter Pride parade where Maya (Danielle Savre) reunites with someone from her past. The show also teases that “Carina (Stefania Spampinato) looks to Bailey (“Grey’s Anatomy” star Chandra Wilson) for support, while Travis (Jay Hayden) and Eli (Rob Heaps) arrive at a crossroads.”
The talented drag queen will play Mary Mint (AKA Merriment), described as the “Queen of Fabruary,” as the city commemorates the Winter Pride parade celebrating legalized same-sex marriage in Washington.
“Mary is the embodiment of joyful perseverance and grace honoring those who paved the way,” according to ABC’s description.
Symone first rose to fame after winning Season 13 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” Since taking home the crown, she has starred in a number of projects. Recently, she was in Universal’s “Bros” and was featured in Hillary Clinton’s Apple TV+ documentary series, “Gutsy.”
She has also made a name for herself offscreen after gracing the covers of Billboard and Out. Symone is considered a fashion queen and she is the fourth drag queen to attend the coveted Met Gala. The fierce queen has even been the face of Moschino’s Fall 2021 campaign.
We can’t wait to see how well Symone does as her character! Tune in to the episode when it premieres on March 28 on ABC!
