Drag Race UK announces season 6 winner

The Drag Race UK Hall of Fame has a new addition! As season 6 of Drag Race UK came to an end, fans were excited to see which remaining queen was crowned the winner.

Queens La Voix, Kyran Thrax, Marmalade, and Rileasa Slaves went head to head in a bid to snatch the crown in Thursday's grand finale.

The top four queens were tasked with “taking the piss out of a grand finale song worthy of Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, and Michelle McManus.” Additionally, the ladies also had to learn a dance routine to go along with the song.

While the queens prepared for their last extravaganza, they were visited by Ginger Johnson who had some words of advice for the top four.

“I was terrified about our final performance because we all know I’m not exactly a dancer. But you just gotta dig down and find it because you never know,” Ginger encouraged the ladies.

“But I must say, some of my best memories of being in this big pink box of dreams are from this last day because it’s a chance to sort of reflect a little bit.”

Ultimately, Kyran Thrax took home the UK’s Next Drag Superstar title. Upon her win, Thrax shouted: “From now on, every day is bin collection day!”

Posting on Instagram on Friday, they said: “My brain can’t comprehend it right now so I’ll talk more tomorrow, but I can’t stop crying. Thank you, thank you so much.”

The sixth season of the UK version of RuPaul's Drag Race marked the first time a queen could win a cash prize. This season, Thrax took home £25,000.

“It’s bin day forever now. This isn’t just a year-long reign, baby, you’re stuck with me,” Kyran gleefully tells PinkNews via Zoom.

“That money, and this reign is going to make sure that I am putting on the biggest and best shows, and doing the biggest and best things that I can possibly do. Because I’m going to work hard. And make a room out of bin bags.”

Additionally, queen Charra Tea was announced as season 6’s Miss Congeniality.
