Drag Race UK vs The World announces season three winner

Drag Race UK vs The World has announced a winner! After eight weeks, the third season of the spinoff of the drag competition kicked off its finale in a fiery extravaganza.

Finalists included Fontana (from Sweden), Gawdland (from Thailand), Kate Bush (from the UK) and Mariah Balenciaga (from the US). The four were tasked with duking it out in pairs in a Lip Sync Smackdown.

Then, winners Gawdland and Kate returned for a final battle for the crown to Kylie Minogue’s “What Do I Have to Do?”

RuPaul declared Gawdland is the winning queen! As the newly hailed Queen of the Mothertucking World, Gawdland was also the recipient of a cash prize of £50,000.

Additionally, Serena Morena (from Mexico) was voted as the season’s Miss Congeniality.

Tia Kofi, the reigning queen of the Mothertucking World, handed over the crown and sceptre to the new champion.

The world is your oyster — be crazy!” Gawdland said on stage after accepting the crown.

The Thai drag artist later penned a heartfelt message to social media, proclaiming: “This victory does not belong to me alone. It is a new page in the story of Asian drag excellence.”

They were introduced to the Drag Race franchise in season three of Drag Race Thailand and are the first Asian queen to win the international spin-off show.

In her post to Instagram, Gawdland continued to highlight what their win means given her Thai roots.

“This crown and scepter are not merely symbols of triumph, they are a tribute to the beauty of our art, our culture, and every Thai artist who dares to dream beyond borders.

To anyone who is holding onto a dream, believe in it with all your heart. Dreams are never as distant as they seem. Today proves that our dreams can be as big as the world itself.”
