Get ready to jet set across the pond! It was recently announced that Drag Race UK vs The World is getting a brand new season!
Season two promises the return of Mama Ru alongside iconic judges Michelle Visage, Alan Carr, and Graham Norton.
Also along for the ride is a star-studded lineup of celebrity guests and judges who are yet to be officially announced.
The high-energy spin-off sees queens from the previous UK series battle it out against competitors from seasons across the globe, including America, Canada, Thailand, and Holland.
In a statement to the BBC, Ru expressed excitement for the new season, describing it as “magical.”
“It is my honour to present the second sickening installment of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs the World. When queens of this calibre come together, something truly magical happens. I can’t wait to share the international love with audiences in the UK and around the globe,” said Mama Ru.
Drag Race fans were gagged with the first season which premiered in 2022. Season 1 featured a roster of cut-throat contestants. Lemon, Cheryl Hole, Jimbo, Pangina Heals, Janey Jacké, Baga Chipz, Blu Hydrangea, Jujubee, and Mo Heart all took a chance and competed on the show.
It all came down to a epic face off against RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10 star Mo Heart and RuPaul's Drag Race UK series one-star Blu Hydrangea. Ultimately, Blu became the first star to be crowned Queen of the Mother Tucking World.
Additionally, Blu made “herstory” as the first ever Irish queen to win a season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
The season two competitors have a lot at stake. A whopping $1 million cash prize and coveted title of the ‘Queen of the Mother Tucking World are on the line.
While we are still awaiting major updates such as official cast and guest list announcement, the season promises to be an interesting one!
