Everything we know about the recently announced Slaycation series

Amid announcements of new seasons of hits like Drag Race UK and HBO’s We’re Here, the team behind RuPaul’s Drag Race at World of Wonder have revealed a brand new series is brewing behind the scenes.

Slaycation, will star six fierce queens selected from the ever-growing Drag Race franchise as they are holed up together in a Canadian cabin in the middle of winter.

The upcoming international show promises fun activities for the group as well as a bit of shade and drama galore

“In Slaycation, the queens get to let their hair down and truly relax as themselves while enjoying some fierce and frosty winter shenanigans,” said Drag Race creators Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato to Broadway World.

“Of course, there’s always a twist – or even a twist on a twist –  but you will see these artists as you have never seen them before.”

Digital Spy reports that Laura Michalchyshyn, the Chief Creative Officer at Blue Ant Media, say “Slaycation is going to bring Drag Race fans on a fabulous queens vacation with the perfect blend of drama and fun the audience will love.”

While official casting for the series remains unannounced, Drag Race contestants are already gearing up for the premiere and some even voulnteering themselves over social media.

Meanwhile, US season eight and nine’s Cynthia Lee Fontaine declared: “Omg, love this,” and Drag Race UK vs. The World winner Blu Hydrangea wrote: “Ridiculously camp.”

Canada’s Drag Race season three finalist Miss Fiercalicious wrote: “Sign me up,” while season one star Boa responded: “This sounds like a nightmare, sign me up.”
