Ginger Johnson crowned winner of Celebrity MasterChef 2025

After five weeks of culinary chaos, drag queen Ginger Johnson has been crowned the champion of Celebrity MasterChef 2025. Friday’s final episode saw Johnson compete against Welsh rugby legend Alun Wyn Jones and author-broadcaster Dawn O’Porter.
Finalists were tasked with creating a three-course menu that reflected their journey through the competition. Johnson's menu, based on her love of the 1970s culture. included a Bloody Mary prawn cocktail, a Duck a l’Orange, and a Flaming Baked Alaska.
"Being part of this competition has pushed me to be adventurous - bringing the creativity I find in the rest of my life into food. I’ve caught the bug for both cooking and competition."
Judge Grace Dent added: “Throughout this entire competition Ginger has delivered these intriguing, inventive, exciting, imaginative, difficult feats. What she's done is something really impressive.”
“With all the presentation, all the fun, the laughs, her food tastes delicious and she's an extraordinary cook. For me, that’s why she is our champion,” said fellow judge John Torode.
Johnson first graced our screens after winning the fifth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2023.
"I cannot believe this, I’m so shocked. I really thought I was going to come here and have a laugh. I can’t believe this is the end result of the competition. It’s absolutely crazy! I can’t wait to tell my mum and dad. I’ve actually learned a real-life skill!" Ginger said regarding her win.
