It was reported that Jiggly Caliente, real name Bianca Castro, died on April 27, just days after having her right leg amputated due to a 'severe infection.’
“Her legacy is one of love, courage, and light. Though her physical presence is gone, the joy she shared and the space she helped create for so many will remain forever," read a statement from her family.
Since the news broke, the Castro family has received an outpouring of love from fans and the drag community. Tributes flooded social media, honoring the 44-year-old performer.
However, season two winner Tyra, whose real name is James Ross, is under fire for repeatedly making fun of the late queen on social media.
Mwauh!… NO LEG. https://t.co/KND5j5Vu7x pic.twitter.com/rRrP6M5Kqa

Tyra first initiated a backlash after replying to news of Caliente's death by writing, Mwauh!… NO LEG.' on a post from Jaremi Carey, who previously went by Phi Phi O’Hara.
Jaremi later responded to the situation saying: “I wanna put this out there… Tyra is disruptive, sad, & alone in this world, and for reason…she built the desolate world she deserves, BUT her inability to show kindness, empathy or a whisper of class has nothing to do with her race PLS Don’t fill my mentions with racist remarks especially in mine or Jiggly’s name I’ve blocked and hid her response to keep the focus on my best friend, pls do the same.”
In a separate post, Ross posted: 'You mad cause I'm BREATHING. THRIVING. LIVING. Free from any danger. Free from any overdose.
'Stalking my posts just to report them. You can't defeat me. Meanwhile, your fav is in a coffin somewhere or snorting a line or idk gettin' they leg cut off.'
In another upload, she wrote: "Respect the dead. B**CH! Did the dead respect me? Mad at me 'cause she threw shade and I returned it right back?"
"Beef does not expire," a third post read. "And "til death do you part" only applies to marriage. If we got beef, we got beef forever! Even in YOUR afterlife."
This vile behavior isn't new for Ross. On January 5, 2025, it was announced that The Vivienne had tragically passed away.
Mere hours after headlines broke the tragic news, Tyra responded to a five-year-old tweet from The Vivienne, writing: “Yet it doesn’t compare to the fumes of the crematoriam.”
Fans were quick to defend the legacy of the UK queen, with fellow queen Kandy Muse calling out Ross on Twitter.
“I've defended you for years but now you can absolutely go f**** yourself and if our path were to ever cross it's absolutely on sight bitch, it's not a threat it's a promise. you disgusting person.”

Fans of the franchise are rightfully disappointed in Ross. Many are even urging RuPaul and World of Wonder to strip Ross of their crown and title. Others are calling for a complete rerun season with all the original season 2 queens, excluding Ross.
