Jane Don't pays tribute to makeover challenge partner

The latest episode of season 18 of RuPaul’s Drag Race had fans in tears by the time the credits rolled.

At the end of the already emotional airing, with Discord Addams being sent home, it was revealed that Terry Covington passed away. He was 60 years old.

Terry was introduced to fans when he was paired up with Jane Don’t as a mentor for the makeover challenge. According to the tribute, he passed away in December 2025.

A tribute to Terry was displayed as the screen faded to black, informing viewers of his death along with a picture of him. Terry’s death has fans across the world mourning him, as never got to see his episode air.

During filming, the Oklahoma native revealed he was a retired rodeo judge and opened up about the struggle he faced when coming out was colliding his two worlds of rodeo and the queer community.

“It’s my happy place. When I came out, that was one issue I had coming out, I was giving up a way of life. Then at my first gay rodeo, I fell in love.”

Jane got candid and a little emotional in her confessional about her maxi challenge partner. “Jane said during a confessional: “I am really struck by just how nice of a guy he is, which is making me feel kind of emotional.

“This guy has led this life that is so wildly different from mine, but he is also part of the reason that I can do what I am doing right now, and I just really wanna make sure that he has a good time doing this.”

This week, Jane shared a photo of Terry, who she gave the name of Maybe Don’t, writing: “I feel extremely lucky to have gotten to meet Terry, and to have hopefully given him the Drag Race experience he wanted.

“We didn’t know each other for long, but what I did know of him was lovely and sweet and extremely patient and positive in a moment of extreme stress for all of us,” Jane wrote on social media.

“We talked about how much we both loved our pets and our grandmas, and he reminded me of how much my generation takes for granted as queer people navigating a world our elders had to really fight for.

“He was dead set on doing well and working hard – a real cowboy through and through. Endless love to Terry’s family and friends. Rest easy, my Queen.”
