All Stars 11 queen Jasmine Kennedie revealed that an iconic queen was meant to appear on the current season but had to exit before filming.
The queen in question was none other than Utica, who first appeared on season 13 of the hit drag competition series.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kennedie says, "I'm going to be honest, I was so happy I found she dropped out because I wouldn't have advanced if she was there."
“I wouldn’t have been in the top of the sewing.”
Kennedie was likely referencing Utica’s outstanding sewing skills, which landed her a spot competing on Project Runway season 21 under his real name, Ethan Mundt where he placed runner-up. This was the first season to feature a drag artist competing on the show.
"I really did try to make it happen, but unfortunately it just wasn’t possible in the end because of Project Runway interviews leading up to the season," Utica said to EW. "Filming of All Starzzz was right after filming of Project Runway and before the airing of Project Runway. I was originally casted with Joey as sisters, but Sam Star took my spot last minute."
“It would’ve been a hell of a turnaround to make it happen, but I’m very much enjoying watching this season and being there for my sisters along the way!”
Utica went on to say that she would love to come back to Drag Race as a judge or mentor. She also says she would push for greater inclusion and a stronger focus on designers and clothing.
All Stars 11 still has a way to go before the finale. As of now, A’Keria C Davenport, Dawn, Crystal Methyd, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, Jasmine Kennedie, and Sam Star.
Joey Jay, Morgan McMichaels, and Salina EsTitties will be entered into the wild card for a spot in the semi-finals.
