Kacey Musgraves teases Star-Crossed trailer featuring celebs and drag queens

Country music star Kacey Musgraves has officially confirmed her highly anticipated album, Star-Crossed and release date. The new slew of songs follows the singer’s 2018 Grammy-winning Golden Hours.

Alongside the announcement, Musgraves shared the trailer for the accompanying film. In it, the trailer for the Star-Crossed film features Musgraves on a journey largely based on her split with her ex-husband. Throughout the new collection are tracks about her marriage, separation and everything in between.

Along the way, she meets an exciting cast of characters. Some of the amazing cameos range from popular TikTok stars,  Schitt's Creek star Eugene Levy, and even a RuPaul's Drag Race Season 13 winner, Symone.

Previously, Musgraves found herself working as a guest judge on an episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4.

Over the years, fans have considered the singer a LGBTQ ally. While many other country artists avoid speaking about the community altogether, Musgraves has spent much of her career sending love and positivity to her queer fans.

Through her feminist lyrics and LGBTQ anthems, she is embracing her LGBTQ audiences, and receiving the same love back.

Musgraves has recently described her new album as a “modern tragedy in three acts” and “tells an extremely personal journey of heartache and healing”, according to a press release.

Her new album, Star-Crossed, drops September 10. Even more, the “High Horse” singer plans to release a stunning visual album exclusively on Paramount+ the same day.
