Katya announces cancellations of appearances and projects to focus on health

Katya Zamolodchikova and her team announced that she will be pulling out of her upcoming appearances, projects, and live events to focus on her health and well-being.
“Katya will be taking time away from upcoming projects and live events so she can prioritize her health following recent medical complications. A full recovery is anticipated,” the statement posted to Instagram reads.
“With the support of her family, her team, and Trixie, she appreciates everyone’s patience and understanding during this time. Her fans have always been so gracious, and that means everything to her,” they continued. “For upcoming live events, ticket holders will receive additional details regarding their options shortly.”
This sudden update comes a day before she and bestie Trixie Mattel were to begin traveling for their “Very Bald and Very Beautiful Tour.”
The 44-year-old drag artist has recently experienced health concerns, also causing a cancellation of appearances earlier in the year. Katya had emergency abdominal surgery in May due to a bowel obstruction. She spent a total of 10 days in the hospital, calling the experience “absolute hell on earth.”
The Russian-inspired queen is an integral part of the Drag Race franchise. She was introduced to the world in season seven and even won the title of Miss Congeniality. She later returned for the iconic season of All Stars 2, where she placed runner-up.
