Drag Race legend Katya Zamolodchikova was hospitalized earlier this week and broke the news after posting to social media.
While the reason for her hospitalization has not been revealed, the 44-year-old shared a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed while connected to tubes and wiring.
While she posed in the photo, giving the camera a thumbs up, her caption gave the fans some cause for concern.

“Girl I’m in body jail,” Katya wrote, including the hashtag, “Hell on Earth.”
Katya later tweeted, “Everyone gets sick. (Almost) everybody gets old. And every one dies.”
It goes without saying that the post garnered worry from fans and friends—messages expressing well wishes and a speedy recovery.
Drag icon Lady Bunny also left a comical response, responding by urging Katya to "PROVE IT!" while a fan pledged, “What organs do you need? I WILL find them.”
On Tuesday, Katya and bestie Trixie Mattel, whom she frequently collaborates with on “The Bald and the Beautiful” podcast, say they are postponing their upcoming episode and will reschedule it for a later date.
“We are sorry to announce that our Netflix is a Joke Festival Show on May 9th must be postponed as Katya focuses on her health and recovery following a medical procedure."

Katya is not one to shy away from speaking out candidly about her health struggles.
In 2024, she shared a candid message with followers announcing that her upcoming tour with Trixie was postponed as she sought addiction treatment.
"There’s a saying for the active alcohol or drug addict," Katya said at the time in a video. "The trajectory of the life course has three possible outcomes: A) jail B) institutions or C) death. Unfortunately, I find myself squarely and firmly and quite uncomfortably in the B camp right now."
