Katya updates fans after hospitalization, reveals she underwent surgery

Katya is giving fans an update after sharing she was undergoing health struggles last month. The 44-year-old revealed she had surgery and was finally back home.
“Hi friends, I’m back out of the hospital. I had to do an emergency abdominal surgery.”
“There was a bowel obstruction in my small intestine. They had to decompress my stomach, flush out of intestines and remove and reattach a small part of my small and large intestine.
“I was in the hospital with an NG (nasogastric) tube down my nose into my stomach pumping fluid up and out of my body for 10 days without being able to eat or drink. It was absolute hell on earth.
“But the tube is gone, I am eating and drinking and am back at home.”
She ended her post thanking those who aided her recovery, writing, “Katya went on: “Thanks to the surgical team at Cedars Sinai especially Dr Matthew Bloom and Dr Sydney Caputo and shoutout to Nurse Audrey for being a baller. Hallelujah.”
Fellow queens penned messages of support for Katya as she worked toward wellness and recovery.

Concerns for Katya’s health came after she posted an Instagram story of herself in a hospital bed connected to tubes. “Girl I’m in body jail #hellonearth.”
A follow-up post on X had the caption: "Everyone gets sick. (Almost) Everybody gets old. And everyone dies.”
Then, on May 5, Katya and Trixie announced that their “Netflix is a Joke Festival show on May 9th must be postponed as Katya focuses on her health and recovery following a medical procedure.
