Kennedy Davenport's childhood home destroyed by fire

"RuPaul's Drag Race" alum Kennedy Davenport's Dallas childhood home was recently destroyed by a fire.
Kennedy said the family was awakened by smoke on September 26, and the fire left the home "unlivable." Kennedy herself was in Las Vegas at the time of the incident, as she is currently performing in "RuPaul's Drag Race Live!" there.
The popular drag queen told a local news outlet a little bit about life at home and her dependents amid the devastation of the tragic fire.
"I'm the only income in the house," Kennedy said. "I take care of my mom, and I take care of my sister, and I take care of more people in my family, like my nieces are my responsibility. I have a goddaughter, I have two grandmothers, and I am the only one in the family that really has a steady income right now."
“Every donation will go directly toward repairing and restoring the Davenport family home, covering essential living expenses, and easing the incredible burden Kennedy carries,” reads the fundraiser website.
“Let’s show Kennedy that the family she has always cared for extends far beyond her front door.”
World of Wonder also shared the fundraiser with followers. Since the time of reporting, donations for Davenport and her family have reached over $22,000.
"You all have been so great. Words can not express my gratitude..” she wrote in a follow-up post. “My family and I thank you so much. I truly love my fans."
