Love is in the air in the werkroom! Kori King has confirmed what RPDR viewers were hoping: She’s in a relationship with her Drag Race co-star Lydia B Kollins.
As the competition continued to heat up, so did the chemistry between the two season 17 contestants. Then in a kiki in the Untucked lounge, Kori admitted to fans that she was a “committed girl.”
After the queen teased how close the two were, Kori acknowledged in her confessional how her connection with Lydia was “quite obvious.”
“We’re very close. Ah, I’m blushing. I’m Black, but I’m blushing.”
On Friday, February 21, Kori and Jorgeous appeared as special guests at Roscoe’s Tavern viewing party.
During the live-stream, co-hosts Naysha Lopez, Batty Davis, and Kara Mel D’Ville asked Kori about her relationship status with Lydia, which has become a storyline during the most recent episodes.
Kori replied, “You know what’s so funny? We were kind of talking to each other, and flirting, and stuff like that… but we weren’t thinking about it for the camera’s sake, which is probably why they didn’t catch as much of it.
We were just in a relationship on the show, but we didn’t really play it up for the cameras. They didn’t really catch all of the nonsense that we were doing.”
While responding to Naysha questioning the extent of their relationship, Kori affirmed the couple were still together even after filming.
“Together, yeah, officially” she continued. “It progressed after we got home. And then it flourished a couple of months after filming.”
