Marina Summers became the first Filipina drag queen invited to walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival 2025.
In the caption of her Instagram post, Marina expressed how honored she is to represent not only local drag but also the queer community.
“Such a big moment to be repping for the Filipino Drag and Queer community in the sea of people on the red carpet,” Marina said.
Marina then expressed gratitude to her team, saying, “I owe you big time! I will forever treasure this moment! Love you!”
Marina stunned in a fitted one-shoulder black sequinned gown by Filipino designer Mark Bumgarner.
On the festival's second day, Marina shared a memorable moment with Hollywood star Angelina Jolie after the latter complimented her look.
“Guys, Angelina said I looked gorgeous tonight,” she said, sharing a photo of Jolie looking at her. Marina was wearing a gold gown by Filipino designer Rajo Laurel. The designer was also a rotating judge on “Drag Race Philippines.”
Marina Summers placed runner-up during the first season of Drag Race Philippines. She helped represent her country in the second series of RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World, where she made it as a top-four finalist.
