Meet the very first winner of "Drag Race Brasil"

The first season of Drag Race Brazil promised charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent — and it did not disappoint! In the brand new series, we’ve seen 12 queens competing for the crown and title of Brazil’s Next Drag Superstar during its very first season.

The competition was slowly sent home until only the top four remained. Those finalists included Organzza, Betina Polaroid, Hellena Malditta, and Miranda Lebrão.

Ultimately there could only be one winner.

In the grand finale, it was Organzza who was crowned Brasil's First Drag Superstar. To celebrate her victory, she received a year's worth of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics, a crown and scepter from Amped Accessories, and a cash prize of R$100,000.

Meanwhile, the queens voted  Aquarela to receive the title of Miss Congeniality

Over the past few weeks, the 12 drag queens competing for the crown were whittled down to the top four. Those finalists included Organzza, Betina Polaroid, Hellena Malditta, and Miranda Lebrão.

For a while, many fans did not think a Brazilian spin-off of the cult drag series would come to fruition.

News of the new spin-off was first reported in August 2017 by Meio e Mensagem. However, reports at the time suggested that Drag Race Brasil was at risk due to the hostile political climate for LGBTQ+ content.

But fans rejoiced when in December 2022 the show was officially green-lit by officials.

The winner of Queen of the Universe Season 1, Grag Queen, was unveiled as the series' host with the main judges being comedian Bruna Braga and stylist Dudu Bertholini.

The full season of Drag Race Brasil is now streaming on WOW Presents Plus in the U.S.
