The latest installment of a “Drag Race” series spin-off, Drag Race Philippines, announced the new host for its very first season.
According to reports, Paolo Ballesteros has been announced as the host of the Filipino spin-off of the beloved reality competition show.
In case you didn't know, Ballesteros is a Filipino drag legend who’s appeared in numerous movies and TV shows including Die Beautiful and The Panti Sisters. However, he is best known for hosting the variety show Eat Bulaga!
Additionally, Ballesteros is renowned for his drag impersonations and his transformations into celebrities and popular characters through his make-up talents. With looks ranging from Madonna to Wonder Woman, the newly appointed judge will surely bring some looks to the Drag Race Philippines stage.

Last August, casting opened for those hoping to land a spot on the first ever season. In May, RuPaul’s Drag Race season four and All Stars 6 contestant Jiggly Caliente was announced as a judge on Drag Race Philippines.
Caliente recently took to Twitter to celebrate Ballestero's hosting gig, saying: “Here she is. Ayan…masaya na kayo…malapit na (Here she is. There…are you happy…coming soon!!!”)
While details such as the rest of the judging panel and the official cast of the show is still being kept under wraps, Drag Race fans don't have to wait much longer. Drag Race Philippines is set to premiere August 17 on WOW Presents Plus.
