Michelle Visage to host Drag Race Down Under vs The World

Drag Race Down Under vs The World is in the works, according to WOW Presents Plus! The season will be hosted by Michelle Visage, along with Down Under's permanent judge, Rhys Nicholson, and season four winner Lazy Susan.

This isn’t the Visage’s first time hosting. She previously stepped in for RuPaul as host and head judge on the fourth season of Drag Race Down Under in 2024.

It is expected that the upcoming spinoff will follow the format familiar to other iterations of the Versus shows. Down Under vs the World will feature queens from Australia and New Zealand going head-to-head with Drag Race stars from across the world.

The announcement, posted to social media, reads: “The global battle heads down under.”

Previous Versus winners include Ra’Jah O’Hara, who won the first Canada vs. the World and Tia Kofi, who won Drag Race UK vs. the World series in 2024, and Lemon, who won the second Canada vs. the World series the same year.

"We couldn't be more excited to expand the Drag Race legacy. We are going totally glocal as local legends face off against global icons,” wrote World of Wonder co-founders, Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, in a statement.

“Down Under vs the World promises a season packed with unfiltered moments, fashion, and lip syncs that will leave no lash unglued."

Little is still known about the upcoming season as we await specifics like an official cast list and premiere date announcement for the season.

Drag Race Down Under vs. The World will stream on WOW Presents Plus in the U.S.
