Actor and former boxer Mickey Rourke was given a formal warning for using "offensive and unacceptable" language towards JoJo Siwa in Celebrity Big Brother UK.
Siwa accused Rourke, of being "homophobic" for saying he was "going to vote the lesbian out real quick" among other questionable comments regarding her sexuality.
Mickey asked Jojo whether she liked “girls or boys.” The “Karma” singer went on to explain she is attracted to women and mention her non-binary partner Kath Ebbs. .
“If I stay longer than four days,” the 72-year-old said, “you won’t be gay anymore.”
Siwa was quick to comeback, saying: “I can guarantee I’ll still be gay and I’ll still be in a very happy relationship.”
This prompted Big Brother to issue a formal warning to Rouke. A representative of the show informed Rourke that “Big Brother thinks your language was offensive and unacceptable.”
They further told him, “Further language or behaviour of this nature could lead to you being removed from the Big Brother house."
The Wrestler star apologized for his words, saying, “I don’t have dishonorable intentions—I’m just talking smack you know. I wasn’t taking it all so serious. I didn’t mean in it any bad intentions and if I did, sorry.”
Rourke later went to seek the Dance Mom’s alum to express his regret , “I want to apologize. I’ve got a habit of having a short fuse. And I don’t mean nothing by it. I do mean it [sorry]. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t say it to you.”
Jojo replied, “I appreciate your apology.”
The two stars entered the Big Brother house on Monday alongside 11 other celebrity housemates, including Danny Beard, Chesney Hawkes, Trisha Goddard, Chris Hughes, Patsy Palmer, Michael Fabricant, Jack P Shepherd, Ella Rae Wise, Daley Thompson, Donna Preston, and Angellica Bell.
