The first Monday in May marks the annual Met Gala. This year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” honored Monica Miller’s book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. Since the 2003 Bravehearts: Men in Skirts exhibition, it was also the first time that the theme would focus on menswear. And the stars did not come to play!
Co-chairs for this year include Emmy award-winner Colman Domingo, Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton, rapper A$AP Rocky, musician and producer Pharrell Williams, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Basketball legend LeBron James is also on the panel as an honorary chair, but did not attend due to a knee injury.
Take a look at some of our fave looks of fashion’s biggest night down below!
