Pixie Polite details homophobic attack at a London market

RuPaul's Drag Race UK alum Pixie Polite revealed says she was verbally abused and punched in a London supermarket in a homophobic attack.

Pixie detailed the targeted assault via Instagram stories in a post and assured followers she is okay despite being hospitalized for a suspected concussion.

"Hi all, Lots of messages, texts, and calls. All appreciated and seen, but no brain space to respond properly, so just popping a lil something here for now.

“An incident that evolved from general comments and mocking, into verbal homophobic abuse, then into violence. When they catch the guy, it will be prosecuted as there's CCTV, witnesses, and I also got a picture of the guy.”

Pixie appeared on Drag Rave UK season 4, where she placed 5th. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time the queen has experienced violence of this nature. In 2023, Pixie revealed that an intoxicated man threatened to stab the drag artist with a whiskey bottle.

After taking a few hours to recover and gather her emotions on the incident, Pixie updated concerned followers, saying:

"Majorly appreciate everyone's concern and blown away by the amount of messages I have received. Feeling a little groggy today, and have taken the day off to rest and process what happened.

"Overall I'm pretty much fine but I am feeling the same sense of righteous indignation I felt last night. So please enjoy this picture of me looking like a bad ass, while I daydream about justice today."

The Met Police has since launched an urgent investigation into the assault, which is being treated as a "hate crime". So far, no arrests have been made.
