Plastique Tiara announces engagement to her partner

No– this isn't an April Fools joke! RuPaul’s Drag Race star, All-Stars icon, and viral TikTok sensation Plastique Tiara is engaged.

Plastique has confirmed her engagement to her partner while sharing a few romantic engagement photos.

"Baby boy this is serious," Plastique captioned the photos, quoting Ariana Grande's "dandelion" — a song to which she set her TikTok slideshow.

In one of the images, Plastique can be seen with her fiancé in a loving embrace. In another, a photographer captured the moment Plastique's partner got down on one knee to propose in the middle of a misty field covered with rose petals.

"He is the light of my life," Plastique said during an appearance on The Pit Stop, MTV's official RuPaul's Drag Race recap show. "I'm just so happy, so excited."

Plastique also took the time on the show to display her huge emerald-cut diamond ring, hilariously referring to it as a "drag ring."

"I was like, 'I want it to be big enough so that I can wear it in drag,' " she joked to host Monét X Change.

Plastique was first introduced to fans in “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 11, placing eighth.  She later returned to compete in “RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars” Season 9, where she placed fourth.

However, the Vietnamese queen became an overnight sensation on TikTok during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her incredible transformation videos helped her amass nearly 12 million followers on the app and 4 million on Instagram.

Many of  Plastique's Drag Race sisters were quick to congratulate the couple.

"Congrats, baby!" wrote season 8 finalist Kim Chi. Drag Race Phillippines host Pangina Heals, Symone and Kandy Muse were among the personalities who wished the couple happiness.

Even judge Michelle Visage commented with an all-caps message: "CONGRATS TO YOU BOTH!!!"
