RuPaul helps break Guinness World Record for largest drag show ever

Guinness World Records just confirmed the largest drag show ever was put on, and of course the Queen of Drag was there to headline it!
According to the famous record-keeping organization, 7,423 people showed up for the Drag Me to Cowboys show, held on July 11 in Calagary, which broke the world record for attendance.
Legendary Drag Race host RuPaul not only served as the feature attraction but also showed off his DJing skills as Canadian and global drag talents were showcased onstage at Cowboy Park.
Queens, kings and a roster of LGBTQ+ icons sashawyed and strutted down runways and lipsyncing for their lives infornt of roaring crowds. Also making surprise appearances were a few familiar queens like Coco Montrese, Nearah Nuff, Roxxxy Andrews, Sasha Velour, and Sasha Colby.
The annual festival also marked its anniversary on the same day. The show was hosted by Calgary drag artist Farrah Nuff and is in its 30th year of running. Co-performer was drag queen and burlesque performer Karla Marx.
When speaking with Guinness World Records, the festival organizers said, “Our goal with this record is to make this a title worth fighting for in the future, by expanding the size and impact of drag performances worldwide and showing how active the community is.”
