On Wednesday, the Queen of Drag herself RuPaul reacted to the news of The Vivienne's sudden passing as well as some of the recent mocking around the queen's death.
The Drag Race host shared a short clip from the 2010 season 2 finale's acting challenge, in which she performed a scene in which she slapped Tyra across the face.
The post was undoubtedly in response to the immense backlash to the alum's comments in the days following news of The Vivienne's death.
Shortly after RuPaul's post, Tyra shared a message to her Instagram Story and an illustration of RuPaul to her grid. The caption of the post read, "Right back at ya. Puppet."
In her story she wrote, “I am immensely thankful to everyone visiting my page this week. Whether showing love or showing your ass, you increased my page’s reach TREMENDOUSLY. Welcome to all new followers!" she wrote.
"Two fingers in the sky to those who have left us. Special shoutouts to the ones who truly hate me yet hang around watching my every move. With you hanging around here you’ve increased the reach by 95%. Silly rabbits. You work for me. It is because of you that my name LIVES on."
With the Liverpool drag queen’s death still fresh among the drag community, tributes are still rolling in to honor the late star.
RuPaul himself also paid tribute: "She will be dearly missed, but her legacy will live on as a beacon of creativity and authenticity - she embodied what it means to be a true champion".
It added: "Our hearts go out to her family and fans during this difficult time."
The Drag Race alum originally rose to popularity after being names UK Drag Ambassador for “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in 2015 and later competed on two seasons of the franchise.
