Celebrated celebrity stylist Law Roach is officially back on the Rupaul’s Drag Race panel— this time with a promotion!
It was announced that Roach would return to the drag reality competition as a “rotating” judge after making such an impact after his previous appearance on the program.
“I am not the special guest judge. I am sitting next to Ru, and Hunter Schafer is the special guest judge this episode,” he told Parade regarding Friday’s Season 17 episode ‘Let’s Get Sickening Ball’.
Roach joins fellow rotating judges Ross Matthews, Carson Kressley, and Ts Madison, alongside Ru, permanent fixture Michelle Visage, and a celebrity guest judge each week.
The former America’s Next Top Model judge, announced in March 2023 that he would be stepping back from the world of celebrity styling, writing on Instagram that his “cup is empty”. However, he still frequently styles his fave client Zendaya on her highly praised red carpet looks.
Roach has also worked with the likes of stars Anya-Taylor Joy, Megan Thee Stallion, and Celine Dion.
The fashion icon first appeared on RuPaul's Drag Race last year during Season 16 where he became an instant fan favorite for his blunt critiques and charismatic presence.
In an interview in 2024, Roach manifested his new position as he said he "definitely would" become a more permanent fixture on the show if asked.
One thing Roach is going to miss, he says, is being able to chat backstage with the queens in Untucked.
"When you're rotating, you don't get to do that anymore," Roach says.
We can’t wait to see how Roach’s addition to the panel will play out for the remaining queens this season!
