Rumored 'Drag Race' casting could feature queen who says she voted for Trump

While RuPaul's Drag Race season 18 has ended, fans are already speculating about which queens could potentially debut for season 19. One of the queens rumored to be on the upcoming season is stirring up controversy for allegedly voting for Trump.

Alabama-based queen Tammy Faye Brown is coming under fire after Drag Race fans found videos of her supporting Donald Trump.

One TikTok video was posted to the r/RPDRDRAMA Reddit page captures Brown saying, “I actually voted for Donald Trump.”

In a resurfaced 2021 interview with Rad Reporting, Brown explains that she says, “To me, I’m not a Republican, I’m more Democrat than anything…usually."

“With President Trump, the things i did n ot agree with, cuz theres many of them, didn't affect me as much when it came to talking about them or actually interacting with the issues in my real life that Joe Biden the things that I didnt agree with what he stood for as well.

“So just kind of picked what was going to affect my life more.”

In the same video, she explained that she was unable to show support for Joe Biden and his tax plan, as she planned to start her own business.

"A lot of people say that Donald Trump is not inclusive of all people, however I would rather be a success and be able to be successful than be included by one person," she continued.

More recently, in February, Brown made a TikTok video defending her political beliefs and addressing rumours that she was a Republican, showing off text messages and social media posts as “receipts.”

"I’m not a Republican, I’m not sowing discord and disunity within our community," she said. "I’m trying to bring it together in coalition, that’s how we get things done. Bringing two communities together to show the injustice and unfair treatment that we are receiving right now is my main priority. Also, safe and inclusive space for everyone in the community.”

Again, no official casting announcement has been made for season 19, and her potential appearance on the show is based on fan guesswork.

But amid the heavy gossip around the possibility of a MAGA drag queen, Vita VonTesse Starr was quick to call Brown out while attending a viewing party at a gay club in North Carolina.

“You are giving every drag queen, every member of the LGBTQ+ community–you are giving us a bad name and a bad rep. For you to be part of the community and you are going to support Donald Trump?” said the season 18 contestant.

Vita went on to say that while everyone has the right to vote how they wish, they should be ready to back up their actions.

“When the shit hits the fan, and you are being scrutinized, and you are being pulled to the forefront to answer questions as to why you support this man or why you voted for him, don't pull back because now the fire is against you, b*tch.

So because of your actions and how you voted and how you feel, don't be mad when the community comes back at you, b*tch. Just be ready to respond.”

RuPaul's Drag Race season 19 will premiere sometime in January 2027.
