Season 2 RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race winner unveiled

A group of nine celebrities slayed, sashayed, and lip-synced for their lives in RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race Season 2.

During the Sept. 30 season finale, the popular celeb who eventually sashayed away with the grand prize was none other than the Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean as "Poppy Love."

McLean is best known as one of the Backstreet Boys.“I’m so honored to have been crowned the Next Celebrity Superstar,” the Season 2 winner posted on Instagram after the episode aired. “Thank you for the most incredible experience ... I had the best time as Poppy Love!”

In addition to the crown and title of ‘Next Celebrity Superstar,’ McLean also secured a check for $100,000 for a charity of his choice—Trans Lifeline, the first crisis hotline for transgender people with all transgender operators.

Take a look at every contestant revealed as their secret celebrity identity:

Loretta Divine as “Fabulosity”

Taylor Dane as “Electra Owl”

Thom Filica as “Jackie Would”

Jenna Ushkowitz as “Milli Von Sunshine”

Tatyanna Ali as “Chakra 7”

Daniel Franzese as “Donna Bellissima”

Mark Indelicato as “Thirsty Von Trap”

Kevin McHale as “Chic-Li-Fay”

This season, the VH1 reality show’s adopted a new format compared to other programs like The Masked Singer. Each week, the contestants kept their celebrities’ identities secret until a new queen was eliminated each week.

“We are keeping our contestant’s identities a secret so you can stay laser-focused on their charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent,” RuPaul explained in the Aug. 12 premiere.

Helping the newly transformed queens were “Queen Supreme Mentors,” Jujubee, Brooke Lynn Hytes, and Monét X Change.

Other “extra special guest stars” included names like Eureka, Gottmik, Katya, Morgan McMichaels, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, and Violet Chachki.
