Shangela shuts down the DWTS stage with finale performance

Dancing With the Stars season 31 ended with a bang as each of the remaining duos gave one last performance.

However, it was our girl Shangela who gave one of the most memorable dances of the night. With Gleb Savchenko as her partner the two danced in the final freestyle.

In a surprise twist, Savchenko performed in a fierce drag ensemble. Clad in a sparkly bodysuit, blonde wig, heels, and full face of makeup, he was introduced as "Natasha."

The team danced to a mashup of Call Me Mother" by RuPaul and "Survivor" by Destiny's Child" and were even accompanied by Drag Race alums Laganja Estranja and Eureka, who stars alongside Shangela on HBO's We're Here.

Additionally, the two danced on a set resembling the iconic RuPaul's Drag Race Werk Room.

The dance left head judge Len Goodman in a trance.  "For the first time in 31 seasons I forgot to vote because I was absolutely mesmerized by the whole thing," he said. "It even had chicken."

"We've never seen something like that on this show before," fellow judge Derek Hough admitted. "That was wild."

In turn, Savchenko said he felt "amazing" in the new look. "I have so much respect for all the drag entertainers out there. He then thanked his partner, saying, "Shangela, thank you so much for everything. I live my best life, and thank you for bringing me into your world."

Ultimately, the duo ended up placing fourth place with Charli D’Amelio and pro Mark Ballas taking home the trophy this season. Rightfully, fans have a lot to say about Shangela’s loss after such an iconic performance.
