Why this Drag Race Down Under says she wont return to the show

This Drag Race Down Under favorite says she has no desire to return to the main stage due to toxic fans of the franchise.

Etcetera Etcetera said fans shouldn't hold their breath to see the Sydney queen back in the Werkroom for another season. She shared the news in a post on X this week.

“Yeah the discourse the fans consistently create around drag race has killed the last remaining desire i EVER had to return. none of you could ever do what we do. that’s why you sit on ur ass and watch. reading some of the comments around global is spinning my head around.”

She added: “Drag Race will die at the hands of their completely unhinged fandom – who seem to pathologically despise the brilliant queer individuals who risk everything to entertain you and champion the art form.”

Etcetera Etcetera was first introduced to fans back in season one of Drag Race Down Under where she ultimately placed 7th. Her Down Under sisters Hannah Conda, Kween Kong and Anita Wig’lit returned for another season of the show though.

Despite the critics, Etcetera also acknowledged the fans who make the franchise worth it.

“There’s AMAZING fans of Drag Race and they usually support drag irl. They pay my bills and I owe them so much. Whenever I talk to them about these issues, they get the impact of the show on the queens. If you missed the point, you’re the problem! Thanks!”
