Tina Burner addresses return to Drag Race, haters and her autism diagnosis

Last week, All Stars season 10 queen, Tina Burner, penned a post to social media addressing returning to the cult franchise, the haters, and her autism diagnosis.

“Tomorrow I am back on your screens. Although exciting, it also feels like I am bracing for a storm. The first time around on season 13, I have to say, I wasn’t prepared for what would follow. The darkness, the hate, the confusion,” she shared.

“My whole life there have been so many things I never understood. Why I am who I am. Why I act certain ways in social settings, relationships, in friendships and just life in general,” she continued.

Tina revealed she turned to overworking herself and alcohol as a way to “silence or slow down what I felt inside.”

The queen continued to say that her life changed drastically after receiving therapy provided by the RuPaul’s Drag Race team. She also discussed how much she has grown as a person and drag artist since her original introduction to the Drag Race universe.

She explained that Queen Care referred her to Callen-Lorde Community Health Center in New York City, where she was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.

“I sought further clarification and was diagnosed with Autism or ASD [Autism Spectrum Disorder] and ADHD. I finally had answers to so many questions. If you know me, you know I love a project. For the first time in my life, the project is me.”

She concluded her post thanking critics and negative viewers.

“SO I wanna say thank you Thank you for the hate. Thank you for the negativity. Without it I would have never found myself.”
