Trixie Mattel's biggest regret is passing up a collab with this HUGE pop star

"RuPaul's Drag Race" All-Stars 3 winner Trixie Mattel recalled how she missed an opportunity to collaborate with a then-up-and-coming singer that she regrets passing on.

In a new episode of her Wow Presents Plus show titled "UNHhhh" with fellow "Drag Race" star Katya Zamolodchikova, she was asked by her cco-host about the "worst mistake" that she ever made in her life.

“I’ve got a really good one,” Mattel said. She reflected on a moment when a "young pop artist" reached out to collaborate for a video and she wanted to "hang out, she wanted to get to know" the drag singer.

“She wanted to put makeup on. And I said, “never heard of her, maybe later”, that person was Olivia Rodrigo.”

Breakout star Olivia Rodrigo launched her music career in 2020 and found success almost overnight. Her debut single, "Drivers License", broke various records and became one of the best-selling songs of 2021, propelling her to mainstream fame.

Since then, Rodrigo's hits like “Good 4 U” and “Vampire" have seen some major airplay and her fanbase expanding.

“And then literally the next week Drivers License came out and I was like…that was her,” Mattel laughed.

Many fans were quick to poke fun at the obvious fumble.

However, Mattel was quick to extend an invitation back, tweeting “im so sorry @oliviarodrigo please come on the channel.”

Fingers crossed the two stars end up in a collab together in the future.
